Had this same brand of pad for a year and LOVED it! Just bought two new ones since we wore the old pad out with use. I noticed right away that the new material on the bottom is heavier, and thought this was a good thing. But I quickly found out that the new material is nothing like the old pad! It is slippery and WILL NOT stay on the dash! Absolutely unusable!

This unit appears that it would work well, however, the mount on the TomTom 930 is very shallow and does not allow proper positioning over the lip of this mount. This mount is not suitable for the 930.

I have one of these. It's not compatible with a TomTom Go 730. Not sure about other TomTom models, but I'm guessing they won't work either. TomTom's mount sits too low and won't allow the screen to clear the sandbag/beanbag ring on this mount. Overall, I don't see any quality issue with this product, just that it's not compatible with TomTom brand GPS.

Overall this is a nice product.

It dosen't slip on the dash due to a combination of weight and a non slip surface on the bottom.

It has a large smooth surface to hold the GPS Windshield mount.

BUT the weighted donut completly surrounds the GPS and a combination of the TOMTOM GO 730's short mounting arm and powercord mounting make it impossible to mount the GPS in a usable way.

The angles are such that if you can actually get the suction cup to grip, the screen of the GPS is pointed at the roof of the car.

For other GPS brands such as Garmin, this would be an acceptable mount.

After having my GPS stolen, I decided to carry the next one with me. I already typically carry a bag with me and didn't want a whole separate one for the GPS, This was inexpensive, pads the unit well and fits inside my bag easily. As a bonus my Ipod Classic fits into the side pocket so now I carry both when I leave (my last Ipod was stolen along with the GPS as well). I am using it with a TomTom 930.
