I like this one so much better then the one that came with my tom tom. The old one used to actually fall off when i was driving! But this one has never failed me, even on the worse streets of NYC. This thing really grips!! Mine is set up on the dash instead of the windsheld and its peferct because of the long neck, it extends right to me and i dont have to reach far to hit the screen. Everyone should get this!

I bought this mounting arm 2 days before a spring break road trip. I had never used this device for long trips and didn't want to hold it or leave it in the seat. Our road trip covered the desert temps, as well as the snow covered mountains of Flagstaff, AZ. Not ONCE, did the mounting arm come loose from the windshield and fall. Even through all the road vibrations the arm stuck like a rock!. For my Ford truck, the arm worked great and I just moved it up the windshield to make it stick out a bit farther without blocking my line of sight on the road.



I would recommend this to other owners without a second thought!

For the A-types who like to "program" their route destinations while seated comfortably in their homes, this is the perfect accessory. This power supply keeps your GPS unit charged without taking more space (or USB ports) around your computer. Since I don't leave my Tom-Tom in any single vehicle, I prefer to have it "armed" and ready to go when I leave the house.



Judging by the amount of dust on the outside of the box, this is not a popular option for Tom-Tom users. Once you've tried it, you may like it. It works well for me.

The package also contained wall plug configurations for other Countries and Regions, and while I may not need those at the moment, they're a definite plus.

The charger came with multiple detachable prongs to fit virtually any wall outlet. I like the fact the prong heads are not gigantic and that it all easily fits into my case for carrying around my Tom-Tom. I learned my lesson the hard way when the electrical outlet in the car was not working and my brother left the TomTom on and it exhausted its charge. It's always wise to have a wall charger with you.

Looks like this mount & cradle would work for dash mounting, but it's not that effective for vent mounting. Though a previous reviewer was able to make it work with a bit of clever thinking and an extra part, the vent mounting components are incompatible with the round vents found in new Jeep vehicles. THIS IS NOT THE MOUNT SOLD AS AN ACCESSORY FOR THE TOM TOM ONE!

...When using the "Vent Mount" feature on this product the weight of my TomTom causes the vent to slope downward. This was easily fixed by placing a small piece of plastic (in this case a thin keychain) into the bottom part of the vent. The mount now stays put and I can actually see my TomTom's screen while driving. This inconvience doesn't exactly ruin the product but it definetly subtracts from it a little and I thought it should be mentioned.



Also, the "Vent Mount" uses two very thin spring-loaded pieces of plastic to mount to the vent. They are very fragile and can easily be broken. A nice feature would have been some sort of metal mount clasps to add some stability to this product.



Still a decent GPS mount for the price.

The ad says that the dimensions are 4 X 5. When I received the product it was a perfect 4 X 4 square. I needed the extra inch so I had to order a second one. Now a 4 X 8 surface with two side by side. I wish they would have been more accurate in the ad. I would have found another solution at the hardware store.

I ordered a tomtom case or something that can fit the tomtom one xl series 4.3; screen, well just looking at it i already had a feeling that it wont fit, well i tried anyways and there is absolutely no way the tomtom one xl series 4.3; can fit in there, i cant speak for the other 4.3; or similar screens, but im guessing they wont fit either, it barely fits my cell phone.
